    Stratos 285XL aerator cycling question

    Hey guys,
I never really pay much attention to my livewell aerator cycle. I know everything works just fine (auto and manual operation). But I decided to time the cycles today, while out on the water.

The time between cycles is exactly 1 minute and 15 seconds.

What I mean is that the timer makes the pump go off every minute and 15 seconds. Doesn't that seem too often?

    Lemme know what you think.

Sounds fine to me. Do you have a timer dial so that the cycling of the livewell pumps can be changed?

No, I understood it was a preset amount of time. No dials, I thought it was a preset timer, behind the dash.

That's what I thought too (3 minute intervals).

    Anybody else wanna chime in?
Seems to me like 1 minute 15 second intervals is quite often...

I have the same boat. I have never really timed mine but I would say it is closer to 3 minutes on mine.

My old Stratos has a selector of 1 or 2 for the timer cycles.

Most of the automatic timers...IE: red canisters...are for approximately 1 min on 3 mins off...
