    Question 1994 Ranger 492vs

Would any of you Ranger owners look at this and tell me if it's overpriced ?

    https://collegestation.craigslist.or...174300493.html

When I input the boat, trailer and motor info into NADA, I only come up with around $6500, less then asking price.
Before I look at it I want to be sure I am getting a fair deal.

OMG, I could actually be a Ranger owner, , well maybe..........

    thanks
    Dave

I would offer NADA. That boat will take some work and money to update.

That boat is not overpriced at all. Day in and day out, those older Ranger boats will bring above book value if they are well kept like that one appears to be. Most of the pictures look like they were taken at dusk with a flash.......go take a look at it in person if you like it, that's a pretty one!

Have the motor checked out.......and be prepared to spend some money of fuel and oil if you are going to run very much, those XP's are thirsty!

I recently bought a 481VS 1995 with a 175 Merc EFI. I feel I got a deal at 9200 though the seats are in a little better shape than this shows. Great riding boat

I'd do it, the 400,s are great hulls and that one seems to be in great condition. Granted you'd have to do some upgrades (graphs, TM, chargers, etc.) But in that price range you can't expect much more as long as the motor and transom check out good.
