225 or 250 Merc . The one I'm considering has a 300PM, but I would prob try to trade for a 225/250 Merc or possibly 225/250 Hammer.

The 225 will be fine for fishing, but, IMO the 206 needs a strong 250. My XB runs 74 in the Texas Summer with 30-35 gal of fuel and two people loaded with gear. Livewell empty.

2004 206, 2009 250ETEC HO .. running a 26P Razor prop (Marc Croxton Custom) fully loaded getting @ 70 top end (I never run it that fast though, normally @ 53-5500 rpm running mid 60's is about as hard as I run it..)

I honestly don't know - It's set up exactly as I bought it late last year.

I did take it out over the weekend and cruised pretty easily to 65 @ 5500 rpm. Had outside temps of 85 w/ water temps @ 82.

My 203 performs about the same w/ 225. Sort of helps one see the hydro dynamic consistency of the Champion hull.
