225 or 250 Merc . The one I'm considering has a 300PM, but I would prob try to trade for a 225/250 Merc or possibly 225/250 Hammer.
The 225 will be fine for fishing, but, IMO the 206 needs a strong 250. My XB runs 74 in the Texas Summer with 30-35 gal of fuel and two people loaded with gear. Livewell empty.

I honestly don't know - It's set up exactly as I bought it late last year.
I did take it out over the weekend and cruised pretty easily to 65 @ 5500 rpm. Had outside temps of 85 w/ water temps @ 82.
2003 206 with 07 250 pro xs 25p tempest fully loaded with 2 husky fishermen 5600-5800 rpm in summer 68mph 5800 to 6000 in the winter 70 to 72mph

Why not keep the 300?
My 203 performs about the same w/ 225. Sort of helps one see the hydro dynamic consistency of the Champion hull.
Either 200 or 210, cant remember. If you see him, find out for me......
