Need help with trim sensor on a 300x, serial #0t430123

My dad has bought a new to him ranger 522 vx with a 300x pro max and on his smart Guage it says trim fault, he bought a new trim senor but we are having trouble finding out where it goes on the mpto thanks.

Its on the port side of the swivel bracket..... You should check the wiring BEFORE condemning the part, because a wiring problem could damage the new sensor.

We found where the sensor plug into under the cowling and there are no wire conected to the pig tail. We plug new sensor in the the pig tail and it will read on the gauge with the new sensor, which makes us think there is no sensor at all, this has the heavy duty bracket with external trim pump.
