What's best for pulling tube ski pole or harness?

My Lowe 1710 has a ski pole, can I use it for tubing or should I use tie down eyes?

A ski pole is better due to the higher angle of pull, keeping the front of the tube and rope from going under water. However, the ski pole must be securely anchored to the boat to resist the pull of a submerging tube.

alot of the factory poles say not to used them for tubing, only skiing. I use a harness, because I feel it is stronger, and I hate having the pole and supports on the back deck. I stumped my toe really bad climbing in the boat one time, and that was the last trip for the pylon.

Don't use a pole for a tube. You'll end up yanking your rear seat base out of the deck or sending the pole flying back at the tubers.

The high angle from the ski pole to the tube will cause the tube to lift out the water at higher speeds, especially a one person tube with a light person on it.
