    05 225 Opti

    30 hrs on factory rebuilt powerhead, all good until 2 weeks ago. Motor has a low end miss and will hesitate getting on plane but will eventually wind up (5-15) seconds. No affect on mid-top end once it gets on plane. Fuel is clean in separator bowl, plugs are new, smartcraft gauge is all over the place on rpm's. Mis started after I ran quick lean on a couple tanks of fuel. I did have some major issues with water in fuel last summer and only run non E.
    i have spent a ton on this motor and am tired of contributing to mechanics kids college fund.

    Almost impossible to complete spark test hanging off the back of motor while trying to get on step. Spark test running on muffs is good, what's next on the list?

    Spark test is easy "on step" with two people........It's how Mercury Technicians do it.
