    Question whopper ploper hooks?

    Who makes the hooks that are used on the whopper ploper? Man they are sharp...

    The originals don't stand up to big smallmouth on Pickwick very well... I've had to change all mine out because of 2 lost fish... straightened the original home out...

    Interesting. Ive caught dozens of Smallies to 5lbs on the stock hooks and would say they are some of the best stock hooks ive ever seen. Id love to see a Smallmouth that could straighten 130 hooks....that must of been a world record you lost

    The ones on the newer ones are good. If you break one of those you must have hooked into a cement block instead of a fish.

    The hooks on the ORIGINAL baits were JUNK they have now corrected that problem.
