Drive around lake/river to find new structure, shell beds, etc.. with side imaging for future possibilities. To me it's like watching TV on the water.

Go to the beach and grab 2 blondes. Tell em you got a really fast boat and a good place to hide. Have em back before their boyfriends knew they were gone! When that dont work i practice driving my boat and getting used to chine at 77mph. Then i mark some stuff. :)

I used to take my RC boats to the lake just in case fishing was slow. 38" Tunnel hull with a 13cc nitro outboard, tuned pipe, big carb with velosity stack until the patrol boat told me to take it home. 63mph on his radar gun - 45mph speed limit on the lake. He said size didn't matter.

When bass get lock jaw I change tactics and get out my fly rods for perch and carp. Its a nice change from slinging a baitcaster. Throw out a few cans of corn and a loaf bread and get ready. My home lake has more carp than bass.

Drink and cruise the lake safely. Even when there isn't a bite I'm usually throwing a lure or six.
