    Aywhere local to get a rod tip put back on a rod?

    I'd try Bob O... I still have 2 rods for him to replace the tip on. Just never on that side of town.

    yea sure, but the blank is a bit larger the farther down the blank you go, so it might not fit.

    He was a guy from Clare Mi that made Steelhead Rods way back when. His specialty was fishing 2 pound test on 12 foot and bigger rods. He was the nicest guy to talk to. I had a 11 foot rod he made for heavy line 6lb test. Back then Trilene XT Mono was the line we used. He used to be at all the fishing shows selling his stuff. Here is his OBIT.
