My 921 came with 45" shaft. Just ordered an Ultrex and decided to stay with 45".

I ordered my new 921PHX with a Ultrex with a 52" shaft. I would have some extra in the event big water pops the 45" motor.

My PHX is coming with a Ultrex 52" shaft. Any trolling motor I buy is a 52. Quit buying 45's cause when I fish on windy days out deep, I cant keep it in the water.

My 921 has a 52" fortrex and if i can ever find one in stock my ultrex will have a 52". Id rather have the extra length and not need it than need it and not have it. When i raise it to fish shallow its not in my way
They aint got hands, set the hook

It depends where and how you fish. A 45" is usually sufficent for most fisherman. If you fish offshore on big lakes, then bigger shaft length makes sense. If you are primarily shallow water fisherman, then the 45' is best as the longer shaft will just be in the way.
