    NMEA

    I am hooking up my nmea power cord and don't know what to do with the shield drain wire. The power cord has three wires black, red, and bare(shield drain wire) what do I do with this. I am trying to get my steadycast hooked up.

    The drain wire needs to be grounded.

    Use the negative connection point the electronics are connected to and you will be fine.
