200 EFI Loss of Top End

    Hello Everyone
I have a problem with my 2004 200 EFI I hope you can help me with.
Last year my boat’s top end would run around 70 to 72 mph @ 5600 rpm. Toward the end of boating season the speed/RPM started dropping. First to 65mph and now it is 60mph and the RPM is 5000. Compression is good 115 on all cylinders. New plugs, changed the fuel filter. No change in performance. Engine starts and runs fine. At WOT the engine doesn’t surge, run rough or vibrate. I have also noticed it is using more fuel now.

Now here is the weird thing. Key on engine off the fuel injector pressure is 41 PSI. When I start the engine the fuel pressure is 50 PSI at idle. I am an automotive mechanic by trade and the fuel pressure I would have thought would drop not go up at idle. I am thinking pressure regulator.
    Engine serial number is 0T908065.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chuck

Check the screen on the regulator, may be clogged
