Went out to Bell Cow last Sunday for some Father's Day fishing and had a blast. Water was murky on the east side and still muddy on the west side where the main creek flows in and the water temperature was 80 degrees. After a rain delay that kept us from getting on the water until after 7:30, we were able to get 6 in the boat and had a nice 3+ pounder get off while trying to lip it at the boat. All fish but one was caught on top water and it was an absolute blast. I caught the kicker below on top water in about 3' of water in some reeds along the shoreline. The blow up was amazing. She had a bloody tail which kind of confused me but maybe she's just a late spawner or her tail is just taking a long time to heal... Not sure. She weighed 7.01 lbs, 21.75" long, and had a 17" girth. She was released to fight another day.
