Helix Vers Solix and Mega imaging

I’m looking to move from Lowrance and want to make the right choice can someone explain the Helix and Solix differences ? I’m reading that the new Mega imaging has great detail of structure but fish are very hard to see is this correct? Any help will be greatly appreciated before I spend $10,000 on Units.

SOLIX to Helix is like Simrad to Lowrance. Two different product lines that do the same sonar functions with more capabilities.

Fish are not hard to see if the settings are done so they can be seen.

I don't have many fish screen shots since I don't use MEGA for fishing, I use the wider coverage of 455 kHz for that.

There is a fish between the crappie school in the water column and the forked tree in this screen shot.

Same unit with bass and the lower frequency:

    As stated.....

I run Solix 12, buddy runs Helix 12. Both great units but I like the tech and he just wants simple. He catches more fish, i play more.

The Solix unit has more navigation tools but 2D, DI, and SI are the same. The user interface is where the units differ. I chose the Helix because the interface is the same as my 898 so the learning curve was not as steep.

Yes and I suspected they were due to the way they were positioned.

Crappie in the MEGA screen shot. Did not catch any of those since I don't fish for them, but they school vertically. I see dozens of those.
