    VesselView Mobile or Humminbird NMEA

Just looking for anyone's opinion or advice on either the VesselView Mobile or setting up a Humminbird NMEA kit. I have a 2016 225 ProXS, and am considering picking up one of the 2 above, unless a MercMonitor falls into my lap. Which one do most prefer? Thanks in advance

Read my comments on the mobile thread at the top. If you don't mind that info then it's ok and fairly cheap. I should have gone merc monitor instead.

Installed a Level 1 MercMonitor last year, wouldn't have another Mercury without it. Main tri-screen I watch has water pressure, RPM and temperature. I keep a log with engine hours, fuel used and fuel added whenever I add fuel. If my analog fuel gauge failed, I would rely on the MM info as it is pretty accurate. Also eliminated the speedometer and water pressure lines to the console.

I have no desire to set up a NMEA for my Humminbird's. I watch the MM tri-screen on the MM and mapping for navigating on the console Humminbird while on plane.

You will love it if you're a data junky like me. The Level1 gives you all that data and when NMEA'd up gives it all to your graph where you can do all kinds of things with it.

After 5yrs with a MercMonitor I'd have nothing else on my boat.

    KaKing,

Is that image from a Lowrance screen or an iPad app?

Love my merc monitor. The fuel consumption is very accurate.. how do you get gps data to it running hb onix? Is it just a cable?

It's a blend of data from the Lowrance HDS (using an app) and video from the GoPro. Check out http://apps.network80.com for how-tos.
