Accessing trolling motor mount boats on front deck.

What's the best way to get to the mounting bolts for the trolling motor bracket on a Phoenix 618? I removed the panel in the middle of the front shroud and there is a round hole there, but looks tough to get your arm in there. Has to be better and easier access. Thanks.

That's the only way to access the mounting bolts is thru that round hole, it's tight so watch your arm on the fiberglass, just take your time you can get to them.

Brett Carnright could get both of his arms through that hole at the same time.

I just swapped out a Motorguide to an Ultrex on my 721, I got in and out with no problem. Only piece of advice I have is cover the edges with duct tape, kind of tough on the arm!

I just replaced TM on my 920. It was not that difficult if you use a ratcheting wrench. The closer in bolts were more of A pain that the ones in the nose/

I've installed and taken off 4 times now. Its not that bad. I did enlarge my hole with a dremel though.
