    XB21 / 250 ??

How high do you have your motor w/ TM lower? I'm at 1 3/8 below w/ 20-25 psi.

This will vary depending on setup. Some are using 2 1/2" spacers and some have gone to the 4" spacers. Also gen 1 and gen 2 TM gearcases may differ in best running height, not to mention different props like different heights. You really just have to experiment with your particular setup to find the sweet spot.

I know you went with the 9.5" setback but does your boat have the new lip? I can't remember?

I have the same setup. I did not like the hole shot on the 28 Bravo 1 FS. I like the 27 Fury for running light. Still trying to find the right 4 blade for heavier loads. I have heard that 1/2 " below pad is about right for the 4" spacers and gen 2 but haven't proved that yet.

I carry a fairly heavy load and me(165) my partner (325) full fuel, etc. I'm outta the hole pretty quick.
I still need to try my 29 TXP after I raise the motor a little.

I would think you could go higher and may improve your performance. Just keep a close eye on the water pressure because it will fall off quickly if you get too high on the Gen 2.

I ran it yesterday and was all over the limiter w/ 1/2 tank and me(165) partner (150). Guess I may need a bigger wheel.

How high were you running the 28 Bravo?

Is that a pad to prop shaft measurement or jack plate travel?

28 Promax will run well on that setup but the holeshot will be slower than the bravo. I have never owned a bravo that would run on top, they holeshot well but end up 4+ mph slower for me.

My top choice would be a 28 X-O/B Hydromotive but getting one will be next to impossible right now, unless you can find one used.

Thanks. I'll see what I can find to try. I have a 29 TXP, haven't ran it since I got the motor broke in.

I ran a 30 Bravo that had been worked by Robbie Patterson and it ran great but that was with a coned TM. I am afraid that the Gen2 will not run high enough to handle a 30. I am looking for a 29 Bravo to try on mine.

    JWW9589,
He how many holes do you have on your 28 Bravo FS? Robbie drilled an additional 4 holes in mine and my hole shot is unbelievable now. I also have a brand new 27 Fury that I had for my old boat, but never used. If you are interested in the Fury I want to sell it.

Joe's Bravo shouldn't need the extra holes with the 1.75 gear ratio, but on the other hand, I don't have any experience with a TM-2 unit on the 21's.

The Bravo FS had 4 PVS holes. I probably needed 8. I already have a 27 Fury and it runs great for light loads, just not good when running heavy.
