    Trailer Amor

I have a 99' Trailer, it has some surface rust. What is the best way to protect this. I was thinking of applying some type of road armor or Linux.

Most important is to get the rust off and down to bare metal or use a good rust treatment. If the rust is on tubes, be sure it isn't rusting through from the inside. They are notorious for doing so.

    nothing else matters.

IMO anything applied from an aerosol can may not be worth the time and effort. (have tried some)
Had this trailer done in gatorhyde It is applied with a heated application and is tough as nails.
Took EVERYTHING off the trailer and had it sand blasted before having it applied.
Was a lot of work but made a good winter project..

I just restored my entire trailer.
I hit all the areas with rust with a wirewheel brush, then sanded the entire trailer with 60 grit.
I followed up with 2 coats of rustoleum clean metal primer.
I finished with 2 coats of Monstaliner, a bed liner product.

    That looks great!!

I picked up some Rustoleum Bed Liner Professional grade in sray cans. Also, Rusto rust primer that will hit after I sand it down. Also going to throw the rubber dip (rusto) on the rims for some additional protection. Thoughts?

I see you have some stickers and pin stripes. Did they stick good on the monstaliner? I bought the upol raptor kit to do mine with and have wondered about stickers and pin stripes

I've had no problems with the stickers or pinstripes.

I keep a gallon of this around for my steel items and under the truck. When I used to have a steel boat trailer this was my go to application after removing any loose rust and before any primer/paint. After 24 hours it turns any steel corrosion into black oxide which you paint over directly.
