    Champion Trailer

Anyone here put road armor on their trailer? Is it worth it? My trailer is getting a bit beat up, surface rust etc. Recommendations?

I put http://www.monstaliner.com/ when I've rebuilt my last two trailers . A variety of colors and textures depending on how you apply it. It is a two part mix. I used chassis saver first from POR-15 .both stop the rust. great stuff IMO.

Did 1 gallon of the Monstaliner work on a full trailer? Did you do 2 applications after applying the chassis saver?

Yes,on the first trailer it took less than one gallon . It was on a 21" trailer with duel wheels . Monstaliner has no rubber in it rather ceramic .It has a highly toxic smell and you will need a good respirator . Also use in a well ventilated area . I did mine in my double car garage with the door wide open even at that the fumes were strong . I can't post picks at the moment ,even if I did it wouldn't show much . It's a lot cheaper than Rhino if your on a budget . I checked on Rhino and it was over 600.00 and that was 6 years ago.

I did have enough to do two trailers

Any reason you didn't use the two part topcoat from POR-15. Do you find the monstaliner to be a better product? Or do you like the monstaliner because of the texture.

I like the texture and and it takes the road rash out of the equation . I do really like all of the POR=15 products and used them on my utility trailer . Check the Monstaliner site for videos .
