Did a little mod to a buzz bait mold today and here's the result.

Those look sweet! I wonder if they will have a little side to side shimmy due to the free swinging head? Put a fluke or a sideways creature bait on there as a trailer and hold on!

Have you thrown one yet? I'm wondering if the free swinging head will cause the blade to run more vertical than horizontal. That was my immediate reaction to seeing them. But maybe that would let you move the bait slower.

A bulky creature bait would help overcome any loss of leverage due to the joint.

Then as I think about it more, there might not be any difference. I'm really curious to hear how they run.

    I have used these; http://truesouthlures.com/product/rw-original-buzz/

I also make free swinging ones and no impact on action.

I make one similar with a hvy duty split ring, cut the wire about 1" in front of the head, bend that wire into a loop to the head, bend the blade wire down and create another loop, attach to the split ring, hook rides low in the water and the fish has no leverage to throw the hook.
