    Curado conversion

I had 3 Curado E5's; didn't need that many. So I bought an E7 brass gear with brake washer, new pinion gear and Carbontex drag washers, Hedgehog Air bearings, and a abec 7 pinion bearing. Cleaned up, put together, and it is like a brand new reel (but better)! Not that hard to do, and not to expensive! And it will probably outlast me.

The Shimano reels are some of the easiest reels to work on. One of the reason the E series and prior are very sought after. That, and they are great reels.

It has always been important to me that Shimano bait cast reels have so many internals and other parts which are interchangeable on their reels and I have sure taken advantage of it over the years..
