Mounted under driver's console.
Mounted under driver's console.
I recently completed the NYS Safe Boater's Course (which gets you a discount on your boat insurance, BTW) and it recommends storing fire extinguishers forward of the driver. The reason for this is that most boat fires are at the stern near the fuel and engine. You might not be able to access the extinguisher if the fire is right there in your face, so-to-speak. I mounted mine under the driver's console out of the way.
I have mine mounted on panel to the right of the drivers seat.

Well she got mounted today
Sort of
She got mounted in the corner of the forward compartment
but instead of holes and screws I used 2 sided tape

Mine is in the cup holder next to the gear shifter. Every time I start a new day habit has me checking the push status of it. I also have another in the rod locker next to the bumpers.
On the floor to the right of the driver seat
Mounted to the side of the boat with trim tape. No holes to drill. most of the weight is on the floor. Has been mounted like this for years.
Now have a replacement it place of this one, because of the age of the one in the pic.
Fire extinguisher bracket is mounted on plexiglass and then has the 3M trim tape holding it to the boat
