Power pole Pro series ( 2010 or 2011)

just bought a used bought that has a power pole pro model(possible 2010 or 2011). Went fishing for the first time this weekend and it was kinda windy (15 m ) went to deploy the power pole and it went down in 3-4 ft water, kinda soft mud in south la. fished for about 5 mins and noticed that the boat was drifting. i pushed the down button again and it held for a little while and the same thing would happen and i started to drift. My last boat had the first version Talon and when i deployed it i would not move no matter how windy it was. Was wondering if this is normal for a power pole in windy conditions to release or is it that ihave such and older model. It was a pain cause after a couple of minutes i would have to press down for the pole to dig into mud.

It is not normal, no. Sounds like you are not holding pressure in the lines due to having air. You will need try to bleed the system and see if that works.
