    Networking problem

I have a new helix 9 DI that I've linked to an 998SI through a network box. The helix continuously says "source not found" when trying to access the
    998. Wayne thought it could have to do with bad waypoints corrupting the system and suggested I make sure there were no spaces or symbols in the waypoint names. I correct the few (less than 10) names and still it won't hold the connection and most times doesn't connect at all. The same setup previously worked when I had a 898 connected to the 998 Any other suggestions? Thanks

Does the 998 have the latest software update? I had to update my 998 from v6180 (which I loved) to the most current software. I have the Helix mega chirp g2n and 998csi as well as MinnKota ultrex connected through Ethernet switch. My units would not share sonar untill I updated my 998. I hope this helps

Well, I guess the 998 was not up to date. Ran that latest update on both units and everything is working. I guess that is what I get for not keeping up.

Has anyone mentioned making sure the Helix is completely and fully booted prior to powering up the 998? Also, the network 5 port switch should absolutely be the first thing powered up.

Jimmy you were right, I brought the systems up as you suggested and the Helix could see the DI from the 998. I hope it lasts. Thanks for the tip
