    25 hp Merc. Questions

    Hello everyone, I have a 25 hp 4 strk. Merc. S/N: 0T086044. I am replacing the head gasket. Can anyone tell me the head bolt torque spec. The flywheel nut spec. Also the sequence for the head bolts would be nice. Do I need to adjust valve lash on this motor and if so what should it be? Thank You for all your help!

    You will need to obtain a Factory Service Manual to perform these types of repairs. The correct Manual Part Number for this engine is: 854785R2

    You can purchase one through our Parts Department, any Mercury Dealer, or direct from Mercury Marine.
