    2004 Stratos 201xl w/ 04 ox66 250 and AFTERMARKET Lower Unit

So I purchased an SEI aftermarket lower unit. Before purchase I was running factory lower unit (1.75:1 ratio) at 73 mph gps at around 5700-5800 rpm. I do have an 8" manual jackplate and typically run full gear with two 200# pound guys. New lower unit is an 1.81:1 ratio. Now that I have finished the break in procedure I see I need to re-prop. I can turn it over 6k and roughly 60-62 mph gps.

My question is: Are any of you guys running a similar set up? (1.81 lower)
If so what prop have you had the best success with?

Appreciate any info ahead of time!

I'm curious on this. I figure it's gonna take a pretty tall prop to achieve any kind of speed. Following!
Stratos 201 Pro Elite, Evinrude 200 Etec H.O., Minn Kota, Humminbird

You can get them shipped to your door for around $1,000. They are an awesome deal with the warranty.

The SEI unit was just over 1k shipped. I am waiting for a return call from Croxton now. Had him do a prop for a Bullet few years back and he was spot on helping me prop that boat. I searched high and low for a 1.75:1 lower unit. Could not afford to drop $2300 in a lower. Extremely unhappy about the loss in performance. Hoping I can prop it back into a ballpark of where I was.

I've never played with an SEI lower that wasn't on a Merc, but I saw a drop in speed with mine as well. Probably just casting differences, but who knows. It was about 2-3 mph slower than a Merc unit.
