Texas Bass Trip Feb/March 2018 - What Lake should I fish with a guide?

I am finally going to check one off the bucket list in 2018. I am going to fly down from NY and fish the Texas spawn in February/March of 2018.

I am trying to start planning the trip now to lock everything in.

So what lake should I fish with a guide?? Sam rayburn, Falcon, Fork, Toldeo Bend???

Any help and suggestions will be appreciated!!!

Toledo Bend is extremely, supremely, enormously crowded that time of year. You might find an opening for one more boat in 40' of water if you run well before daylight.

Falcon in Feb normally on fire. Several good guides down there, just a few Matt Reed, Tom Haralson, Tommy Law, Jimmy Steed and on. They will put you on good fish. If interested talk to James at Falcon Lake Tackle..http://www.tackleandrods.com/lake/flash.htm

There's not an issue, media and stupid people made that bigger than it is. I've been there many many times as well as many others and never an issue, the guides are going to Sugar lake down in Mexico and not having any issues. Totally blown out of proportion, if your dealing drugs or doing things you shouldn't be doing then you may have an issue, otherwise go fishing and have fun.

On second thought, it's such a violent place too be and they hate gringos down there. The fishin is terrible on the border lakes, stay far, far away!!!
