    Heard a good Rumor at the BFL this weekend.

    I heard there is going to be a big boat dealership being built on Davidson County close to High Rock lake and what I mean by big its going to be like a superstore for boats. Like a destination store for boats. I hear they are going to have BassCat, Crestliner, and possibly Phoenix and several more brands are in the works. Full service for all the major brands engines. They are ordering boats now and the store is planned to be opened this fall. Sounds like some competition for the boating world coming soon.

    I noticed that BCB listed a new NC dealer on their website last week and the location is Lexington. Maybe more than a rumor.

    This could be interesting especially with Anglers Choice already here . Really nothing to me because unless I hit the lottery I am set with my boat LOL

    I think it is for real. I talked to a very reliable source and by the sounds of it they will be there for the long haul. This will be a good thing for the Carolinas and even could pull people from Va., WV and TN. Im looking forward to hearing more details about what in store.

    I think all Phoenix dealers are out of boats right now. Not sure having another dealer would help that.

    Phoenix sure is growing fast and getting a lot more popular. Looks like they are getting their share of the market place.

    They make a good looking, well performing boat while keeping things simple (all rotary switches) that is competitively priced. It's no wonder dealers are having a hard time keeping stock.

    Rumor is that Mark left is old employer and has teamed up with Craig Cooper that owns Coopers Marine at High Rock and a wealthy Welcome NC business man that was an unhappy customer of a dealership in Lexington and they are going to build a new dealership on highway 8 about 1/2 mile south of Mimi's store. There is a Davidson County Zoning sign posted at the site on highway 8. Word is that they will carry boats and campers...SB...

    Lexington is not that far, that's where I had to come to buy my boat from David Fritt's Outdoors in 2011.

    Lexington is a good location. It's about equal distance from three major metro areas, and not much further from Raleigh.
