Depends on who you buy it from
Buy it off craigslist and you never know whats been done to it
Buy it from a reputable prop shop and you might pay a bit more but you will have someone that can fine tune it and adjjust as neccessary
either case, always run one before you buy it!

Buying used is always a crap shoot... Like rchavis says, buy it and send it to Mark Croxton to be repaired/ worked. That way you know its right... Dan

I scored a tempest plus off eBay for a great deal in a 8/10 shape. Took it to my local prop guy to check specs and add some cup. Total cost was $300. It's a runner for sure. Deals can be had. Do your homework though.

I would hope the guys on BBC would be honest when selling a prop. I bought one off here and
Got a great deal. Always ask if the prop has had any work done to it and if they bought it new.
