    What prop?

I got a 06 200 pro xl with 225 hpdi 6 inch plate and 26p fury. Loaded with 2 people all I can get is 70. If I got a head wind or ruff water it's more like 68-69 that's at 5300-5400 rpm. I should be pushing more rpm to. I know these boats will do better than that. I haven't measured my prop to pad yet where should I be at with this setup. I don't feel like I'm getting any lift at all. What's the best prop to run on this setup.

26 Tempest or Trophy or a Yammi prop in those sizes should work. That hull is the same as my Renegade 20 basically and it likes those two merc props in 25 but I'm running a 200HO. Measure your PTP and let us know but with those props you should be around 3-1/4 or so PTP. You may need a 25 though. If you have friends with known good unworked props see if you can try some.

Ran a 26 Tempest on my 08 w/ a Mercury 225 Pro XS. You should be seeing mid 70's with that setup... Dan

Finally got around to measuring my PTP today and it's 1 7/8. I'm way off ain't I? I'm only turning 5500 rpm at the most I figured the higher you went up the more rpm you turned.

Yes thats to high on the transom. These hulls like a lot of lift which the Fury is not known for. Plus a Fury needs to run deep in comparison. If your motor is right a 26 Tempest or Trophy will be it. Lower it down to 3-1/2 and see what happens with one of those props. A bit lower with the Fury. If you deal with rough water a lot then you will want a 4 blade like a Trophy. I've been in my 2000 since new so I have plenty of experience with this hull. It also like weight in the azz.

A yamaha T1, will out performe tempest on your rig. Personally if i had your rig i would be running a hydromotive or a yamaha T1.

Also on your rpm, HPDI topend best at around 5500-5600rpm from my testing.

I lowered my motor 1 inch which would make it 2 7/8 PTP just to see what it would do. I've got a ton more lift and it handles allot better. I didn't gain any speed and my rpm was a little lower running about 5200. With just me I hit 72.6 do you think I need to go lower? I made a mark where the plate was to begin with and used a ruler to measure it down 1 inch I didn't have time to level everything out and measure but I'm guessing the way i done it will work. I was told that the fury props are bad to loose speed over time not sure if this is true or not.

Sorry misread your comment. These props can be found on ebay or on this forum. I don't know if Yamaha still produces them.

27 T1, 25 T1 also I would see if you could test a turbo txp or fxp I don't know if the hpdi can run a prop with vents unlike the sho.

They dont make a T1 anymore because to many people spent serious money and slung a blade. They just came out with the T2 which has a thicker base to help with the slinging. Some guys have said they are better some have said they are worse. Im going to try and grab one from Yamaha soon.

I use the 25 more than the 27 overall, way better holeshot when loaded and livewells full.

Today was the first cool morning of the year that I fished. My rpm's went from 5300-5400 to 5900 and speed went from 68 loaded to 70. I'm still running the 26 fury haven't got around to buying another one yet. Do any of you guys run a size smaller in the summer to keep your rpms up?
