X22 250 Opti - Help on prop and setup etc

Trying to work through some prop, settings etc.

X22 dual console, 2005 Optimax 250. Atlas Hyd. Jack plate 12"

What prop you guys running on this boat? What speeds are you seeing. Feel like there is more to get out of this thing. Max we are seeing is 64 mph ish after trying several props, jack plate height etc. This is one person 1/2 tank of fuel, typical tournament tackle load.

    Any info would be great.

Ohhh its a thing, a massive aircraft carrier like bass boat.

So at the moment we have been running a 23P Tempest plus with fairly good results- RPM's good, speed ok (64 mph gps) with one person, still feel like it should be faster

What RPMs are you turning the 23? These boats run best with the nose in the air so don't be shy with the trim.

Yep! According to a 2007 Xpress brochure I have ....... (at least for 2007, IDK about other years) an X22 was only offered in the Executive Series (the top of the top package line for the X-Series Hyperlift boats) and it maxed with a 300hp! ZOOM-ZOOM!!!! Hull weighed in at a little over 1700lb's advertised. An X19 (depending on the year advertised) typically hovers around 1400lb.

Side note ...... my X19 was only 2 options away from being a factory Executive Series boat. At that time you had the base model (can't remember the name), the Tournament Series and then the Executive Series. Very few were Executives (based on the fact that I've seen very few by owners and typically only seen in promotional information). The only 22's I've seen first hand have been H22's (bass boat) and tons of H22B's (center console saltwater bay boat).

As for RPM I do not recall (i know that does not help, not my boat though!! lol) but will check next time out with him. We are doing a prop day here soon, have about 4 or 5 props to try out. I do think he needs to be around 24p fury or tempest maybe.. something with lots bow lift. I have set up a ton of glass boats for guys but this damn alum. boat is killing me. I know this boat will do 70!!! Does have a Talon on the back and 4 batteries but that should not make that much difference (maybe 2mph) with a 22 foot boat and 250. Now with my 19.5 foot Nitro I feel like I lose 1 or 2 mph if I had a bag of senkos or a bottle of water lol.

Will really try to the nose up and motor up and see what we can do.
