    Cork Sealer Question

I've sealed the corks on my last several rods, and until now, have just lightly cleaned them with soap and water. Have been thinking of going over them with a magic eraser.... if so, should I reapply the sealer?

Personal Preference. I use U- 40 on mines prior to first day out.

You can take a scotch bright pad and scuff them up then reapply cork seal.
I don't like the feel of cork seal so , I just deal with deteriorating cork.

    U-40 cork sealer.
As stated, apply a light coat (1 only) to the point of saturation only, and make sure it's a smooth, even coat. Don't leave excess on the cork. Let it dry overnight. Best results are achieved when applied to new cork. But, it works well either way.
I clean my cork handles with Dawn and a Magic Eraser after each season, and re-apply U-40 only if necessary. The effort needed to clean the cork is the best gauge. If it cleans easily it's still sealed. If it's hard to clean, reseal.
