I got a 8inch Jackplate on a 20' Stratos with a 200 but i'm quite conservative about how deep i feel safe doing my holeshot. I'd like to know how shallow you guys go?
I wouldnt do it shallower then 6' and even then im stressed af everytime lol...

6'? How bad does that rig dig? If youre gonna try to get on plane shallow the combination of jackplate floatation, skid plates, cbailey foil and a small pitch 4 or 5 blade prop and youll pop right on plane. My boat doesnt even raise the bow it just goes forward and up and does it very quickly

I will jump on my throttle with 4.2' under the boat if I know the area and how far I have to idle to hit six on the graph. Hasn't shown me any scratches on the skeg.
I guess it helps that my boat is old enough to drink, but if I'm seeing more than 3 feet on the graph I'm going for it. My transducer is set just about 6 or 8 inches above the bottom of my skeg, and I haven't programmed any water-line offset. I feel pretty comfortable that my boat isn't squatting 2 1/2 feet down into the water when it takes off.

3 1/2 to 4 foot. I have a foil as well. Have not dragged bottom yet. I get up within about 5 to 6 seconds.
I'm good at three ft if I know the area. I've done it in 1.5' using the Florida spin.
3' on some shallow rivers here, but only if I've been on the body of water before.
Graph reads 1.5 , jackplate up I am good to go , no spin necessary, but that sho really doesnt dig down
I've gotten on step in about a foot or less in my 21' bullet. Had to have my partner sit on the front deck but I've done it many times and tore up quite a few props too.
3-4 here in ohio some lakes here are barely 7 foot deep in places

2 ft. Let er Eat!!!!
4-5 ft and I am good...never tried any more shallow
2', prefer 2.5'.
2.3 ft with my co on the bow. Y'all better not come down to Okeechobee then!
2' and I'm golden. I could probably do 1.5' if I wanted too I really don't pay too much attention anymore but I have a ton of holeshot mods done to my boat. It doesn't bow up on launch whole boat picks up and goes flat
I have a 19.5 ft Stratos with a 200. Minimum for me is 2.5 ft. Normally I like 3 ft. I have got up in less but I was fishing a large shallow flat so I just turned the wheel hard left, hit the gas and then turned hard right and she got up on plane in less than 2 ft but I know I was bumping bottom.
If I get a pretty fast idle going I could probably get up in 3' maybe a little less. Most the time I wait till I'm in about 5' unless it's closer to deeper water then I will get a little deeper just to be safe. We have old stumps, trees, and stuff and you never know where one might be
3-4 feet, if I know the water in front of me. Otherwise I'll idle out to a little deeper water.
