Allow you to change the color of the boat on the navigation screen. At night it is really hard to see the outline of the boat when you’re trying to fish a ledge and boat position is key.

And furthermore, since HB commends dedicated wiring straight to the batteries, they should offer power cables in 15 and 24 foot lengths. This would allow clean power runs to the bow and console without splices.

I would gladly pay extra for these if they were made right!

For the life of me I’ve never understand why they do this. You are spot on how it “should” come out of the box. They give 2000 feet of transducer wire when I need about 8 and 4 feet of power wire when everyone who buys one needs three the 5 times that.

From the MEGA SI transducer. A DB Y cable only splits off 2D sonar, no other.

That way things don’t get stretched / shortened by different speeds...

The ONIX can do 800 and 455 kHz, and the SOLIX can also with the choice of 1200 kHz for either.

You are right if you don't have any other documentation for your purchases. All the latest updates are listed for all the new and old models though. My biggest gripe is not listing links to the core manuals. I guess they will need to be passed on with the sale of the old unit. The change was abrupt. A prior notice with the intent would have been nice so we could gather that info beforehand. I think you can request some of that info from CS. Bob
