There is no "typical time frame". If you are the only one that does it for that location, it may never be done.

Better Navigation Icons and navigation software

Charts should show Navigational items such as Buoys and Markers at twice the size they are now to stand out on the chart – remember a large portion of your customers are traveling at a high rate of speed when using these charts and need these items to stand out!

For the same reason the Navigation CTS (Course to Steer) line should be 2 or 3 times larger/thicker

There should be a search in the goto waypoint selection that as you type it narrows the selection down until you type enough letters there is only one waypoint left

Waypoint Icons should be the same as the industry standard and not a limited selection of small icons in large boxes with small text

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST the Off Course / XTE Alarm should be nothing more than a small flashing warning at the top of the chart and NEVER BLOCK THE CHART

Now I understand you can turn it off and/or adjust the limits but who in their right mind would think if using the Chart to Navigate to a point and you drift off course that it would be a good idea to black out the entire chart and put up a window with “OFF COURSE” and a Confirm button you have to push to see the chart again

This is Dumb, Dangerous and proof that the people that write the code never use this product

I could see a warning message flashing at the top of the chart
Even better an arrow at the top pointing left or right in the direction you need to turn to get back on course

But to black out the entire chart in a moment you really need to see the chart not to mention a confirm button is beyond belief

I will never get use to HB’s navigation and charts I have used Garmin for 20+ years and I can attest that HB is Decades behind in this portion of their Units

    MichAngler has a great point!
Would love to see my danger / caution icons instead of the little blue dots on the map while running.

Have an option to make chart speed match gps speed automatically. If you slow down, your chart speed slows down. If you speed up, your chart speed increases. Would be really nice and doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.

I haven't read thru all the posts so forgive me if this is redundant. As a man who has recently last $3000+ to the theft of my electronics, I would love to see some kind of locator or at the very least a remote shutdown. There is a special place in Hell for thieves.

Auto adjust for lake depth. Why have to do this manually?

I decided to send my suggestion above (to have an option for chart speed to be linked to GPS speed, if boat speed increases then chart speed increases) directly to HB via their "contact us" link on their website. The response I received was less than encouraging:

Thank you for contacting Humminbird Customer Service.

We appreciate that you have thought about Humminbird to share your suggestion or idea.* Unfortunately, at this time we are not accepting outside idea submissions.

If we can assist you further on any Humminbird related questions please feel free to email or contact us again.*

    Good Fishing and Boating!

Bosses will be bosses, and they have their bosses to follow directions from.

Things are like that at every company I have worked for - I don't always agree with the direction my employer takes, but it's not my company to say.

I've never had to do this with my Humminbird units. Describe the scenario you're talking about.

What depth are you talking about? Are you talking about the water level offset or perhaps the Max depth or what? Bob
Dougl58 was that what you asked?
