Set Up for Sterling Gambler 2200

Picking up a '13 22 CC Gambler Sterling Intracoastal with a 250 SHO. It has a 25 pitch Scorpion prop, 12" hydraulic jack plate. Haven't driven yet, but I'd like to get opinion on what prop current owners are running so I can get the dealer to change before I pick it up.

Most are probably running a Yamaha 25 T which is close to the Scorpion that's on it now. See if the dealer can get you a new 25 T2 Yamaha prop. You need to run as close to 6000 rpm's as you can.

For that boat a 26 Fury, 26 Trophy, 27 Trophy will work and possibly a Yamaha Prop. But as stated above post this setup in the Gambler Forum and you will get a lot better responses. Oh and some pics would be great, sounds like a sweet ride!

Landed on a Bravo 26 (recommended by the Gambler Boys). Still getting used to the foot activated engine trim and Hot Foot. Best speed to date with a full tournament load, full fuel and two 200lbs. men is 76mph (5800rpm) on a 94 degree day. Definitely has more in her, but I'm still learning to drive thru the chine walk. Thanks again for the recommendations.

You don't drive through the chine walk you drive to prevent the chine walk.

Yup most guys are running a 4 blade prop. I got the new fury 4 on my ranger and that boat has never been this fast and awesome handling with a 4 blade and I've ran several. I bet that sho would push that boat and handle awesome
