Very stable and smooth. Tourney fish against big new boats all the time and have no trouble hanging with them. But, just noticed that my transom is mush and I’m heartbroken, not sure if I should fix and keep? Fix and sell? Or just sell? Need advice
If you like the boat\ layout \ setup, fix it! Especially if you can do the work. Price new boats, that might give you the inspiration to fix yours ! ! Most likely your foam is wet also. I pulled over 200#'s of wet foam out of mine.
I'm redoing a '87 Strada F120. New stringers, transom, floors, extending the front deck, moving the trolling motor batteries forward, new gauges, wiring, adding a jackplate, wanting to put in faux teak\eva foam - instead of carpet.
The bad thing for me, I got this boat in an unusable condition, no clue if i'll like it or not.
The good thing for me, I'm learning how to fiberglass! Never done it before. Made the internet\youtube my friend.

It was a beast for it's day until you tried to turn at speed. Finally someone taught me how to break it loose and cross it up in the turns, much like a dirt bike. Stopped the hopping in the turns and scared the crap out of a lot of people.
I had a splash of the Wrangler, a 1977 17' Hurst with a 175 Rude. I remember sliding that thing around corners. It was an un-nerving feeling until you got the hang of it. That Rude was so big I used to climb on top of it and dive in the water. Try that with one of these new sleek outboards LOL.

Used to see one down where I live that had a 200 black max on it. It would fly, looked like only an inch of pad and the motor touching the water.
