    Trailering a G2

Just had a 225hp G2 installed on a Ranger 520. Will this motor stay straight while being towed down the road? I have Talons on each side of the motor and I don't want the motor rubbing against the Talons while going down the interstate.

This works like a charm on mine, made by T&H Marine. Your engine stays straight as an arrow

I think you have to use a standard factory transom support brace for the 150. I don't believe the one pictured above will work for your model. I contacted the guy that makes that bracket for Evinrude and he said that it only works for the 225-300 HP G2 motors.

If anyone is looking for the support bracket pictured above, you can order it directly from the guy that makes them. Ebay. 90 bucks.

Do you have the DPS system or the standard steering system.

I'm in the same boat with my 115 HO. No bracket made for it. I'm back to using a trailer Pogo stick for now.
Old Motor mate yoke was smaller and lock'n'haul has nothing to brace against.

Kinda stuck with it since I just have NFB steering. Nothing to lock steering with. Nothing to bungee the steering wheel to without scratching paint or console.

OK let me ask so even I understand, did you keep the seastar HC5345 steering cylinder mounted to the engine? OR did you purchase the optional power steering system. If you have the traditional Seastar steering you could use the clips that slip over the steering ram.

I have a motor mate. It doesn't fit the yoke in a G1 115 HO. The lower unit is bigger.
It may be because of the 2.36 gear case?

Motormate 10-101-ss shows to fit your ETEC. Didn't realize you had NFB.

That's the model Motor mate I have. The yoke is not wide or deep enough. I emailed them and they confirmed no model available for my motor.
I liked the Motor mate a lot. I may take it to a welder in the off season and have them make it work.

So I have a 2017 150HO G2 and I am using an Atwood transom saver that wedges on the lower unit and extends to the center roller (I would call it a traditional version). I was sent home with this from the Ranger dealer. Should I be using something else or is this ok?
