    Intimidator?

I traded for a really nice 95 gambler intimidator a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on selling it but now thinking of putting a motor on it and playing with it a little. I've owned several bullets and allisons but have never even driven a gambler. What kind of props run good on these boats and what speeds are most people running with a good 2.5 mercury?

Good lookin boat! 200 Merc EFI if you're trying to keep costs down with a reliable 2.5 EFI. I would search for a 3.0 200EFI. Better holeshot and torque. Otherwise 200 ProXS if you want a DFI motor. Think your boat is rated for 200hp. Should be mid 70's+ with right setup. Props: Trophy or Tempest best bet likely in 25 or 26 pitch with 200 EFI. Have to experiment on setup/props. Just my humble opinion.

That looks exactly like my old Gambler I sold to a guy in Virginia back in the late 90's. A stout 200 Optimax would perform very nice on there. I ran a 25P Yamaha prop on mine when I had it.

    Pretty boat! I agree, a 200 3.0 would be a nice setup, mid 70's!

Thanks guys. The boat has been taking really good care of. I have a 200 power head that I may put on it and run for a little bit. It's far from stock and has had some heavy port work done to it so it probably want be the best choice but it will be interesting. How much do these boats weigh?

All Gamblers are heavy. That ported 2.5 is really gonna suffer on holeshot.

The powerhead will turn 7500 so I can drop down in pitch to make up for the hole shot. I think

Well a 2000 model Outlaw is 1500 lbs at 19'-4" and that intimidator is 19'-3"? So somewhere close 1500 lbs I'd guess.

Thanks for the compliments guys but it's sold. Guy picked it up yesterday. I was going to keep it for a little while and run it some but the guy wanted it and I really didn't need it si I let it go. It was a really nice boat and somebody had taken really good care of it.
