Anyone care to share their thoughts on fishing Loudoun? Asking for a friend who's considering uprooting and moving his family around the Maryville area for a job opportunity. Thanks in advance.

You got some good info in the Lounge. Lots of good fishing in the area, Loudoun included. Loudoun is the first of the chain on the TN river. You will have lots of company on any of the lakes on weekends, especially in the warm months. Lake access is plentiful and generally good. Maryville/Alcoa is a nice area. Folks are friendly and the terrain is similar to that in WV. Smoky mountains will be your back yard. Good luck to you all!!
Moved here to Knoxville five years ago from Oregon....have never looked back.
The fishing sucks if have lived anywhere else with good fishing.
Fort Loudoun lake is the toughest fishing lake in the region. It gets hammered with tournaments almost every day.
Ft. Loudon/Tellico is not only the worst lake(s) in the Tennessee River System, it is the worst lake for bass fishing by far. Watts Bar is a better fishery and it's fairly close by.
The locals don't call it Ft. Nasty for nothing.
I once was a male trapped in a woman's body. Then I was born.
When you get to ft. Loudon, drive right by it and don't slow down until you hit watts bar. Unless you like the idea of catching 1/2 pound bass, 2 pound turds, and getting swamped by yachts, wakesetters, and moombas that run around with their bladders full.
some good fish out there. don't go on weekends tho.
Come on guys, it isn't that bad. It does get pressured but you can catch them if you work at it.
I like it!
