So now I am thinking about putting a jack plate on 191 what size should I get and do they put a lot of stress on the transom. Grout-scout thanks for the offer they just gave me a new work phone so I need to get the pictures on the new phone.

I believe 8" is most common on 191.

And, since most do better with a jack plate, I would venture a guess that stress is not an issue.

Has anyone tried a Vance jack plate?

^ Do yourself a favor and buy a Rapid Jack. They are as idiot proof as they come and worth every penny.

I am going to replace the fittings in the live well what kind of sealant should I use on those fittings I would think 4200 would be overkill. Thanks for all the help.
