according to dbr, its about 24 less hp than an X
Need to decide fore sure what engine I want would really like the 300x but not Gona run it to its full potential gave up on trying to kill myself years ago but it would be nice to have it just I n case I get the need for speed again
Does anyone ever loose the NEED FOR SPEED? Maybe just back off a little.

fyi, a stroker setup for top numbers will run 100+ with a 250xs. sounds like a 250 is all you may want
Your probably right the only thing keeps me frombuying the motor first is not really sure how hard it will be to find just a hull think either way I'm Gona go with the efi motor don't want to have to worry about the pro xs compressor going and taking power head with it if I was buying the motor new and had a warrenty I would go with the xs
Find your self a low hour 225 EFI motor ( 2001 -2005 ) with the down draft intake and one box Motorola computer ECM .
Most are putting out of 250 Hp .
I would be finding a hull first then a motor.Because the hull you want is going to be harder than a motor theres really not that many out there...motors are always poping up!! if you find you the hull you want you could always throw a 225 pm on it then upgrade when a X comes up or something else.
It's a 300x or nothing for me

This is true. I just sold my 2004 250XS last summer and bought a new 300XS. Wish I had the 300 sooner. Unless you fish tournaments with a 250 HP restriction, go with the 300XS. (My 300XS also burns less gas than my 250XS did.)Originally Posted by cbailey
