    Difference between 211 and 211R?

Looking at buying a 2012 211 but was wondering what the major differences are between that and say a 2014 211R? Any info would be great! THANKS, Warren

That's it? I had read that it's a faster hull?

Raised Deck and they changed the pad a little. I have a 2013 211 and runs 73 to 75 by myself if set up correctly.

They also changed the locker layout. The 2012 211 has a full length starboard locker that will hold 8' rods. The 211r's have split lockers on the starboard side so they can't hold rods.
It's a matter of owner preference. Personally I like the old style - I carry a bunch of extra rods in the starboard locker.

211R weighs a little less and as a result is little faster.

I had the same questions when I bought my 211R. This answer is directly from Kody, keep in mind this is for a 2014 211R " when the hull changes were made"

We made a change late last calendar year to increase speed on the 211R. The difference is exclusively in the air foil on the rear of the boat, or the area just behind the pad where the drain plug mounts. We widened that air foil about 8 inches on either side, and gained approximately 5mph as compared to the 2013 211R.

Simultaneously, we changed to a 12" jackplate as standard. In close to 100 hours of testing, I can't find any negatives with the new design at all. I think you'll really enjoy it.

    Legend did not make a 211R in 2013 only a 211.

They did make the 211R in 2013 with the raised deck, then made the hull changes.

Well, I'm questioning myself but the answer above was copied and pasted directly from my email on the hull changes .

My mistake. So they made both a 211 and a 211R in 2013?, thats confusing.

Ya, I'm thinking it was late year model changes.

They probably start building the new year models several months in advance just like the auto industry, guessing you could have a 2013 year model that started being built in late 2012.
