Wasn't it a big fish derby by the hour and a 5.1 that was weighed in first hour took the win

St Jude was a regular tournament format, best 5 fish.

I heard Sardis was fishing better. Those weights are pretty low.

Low water, 1hr lightning delay, and major storms that night didn't help from what I heard.

i second that. I've never seen the water 8 ft low this late in the year. It's stupid the way they manage it imo.

I grew up in Batesville and I quit fishing Sardis and Enid about 3 years ago. Not even worth wasting my time. They've been mismanaging the water so bad for 5-7 years that both lakes are all but dead. Years ago I used to have some amazing prespawn/spawn spots on Enid south of 32 and now they're dry ground until May or June if they even get wet at all. The lake really needs to be at 252 or 253 for them to be just right. I just looked and it was at 243 today.....pitiful.
