    What's your favorite fishing prop?

I'm looking at buying a new prop but I would like to hear what's working for y'all! I'm running a Stroker with 250xs

A lot of us are running a B1 with 8 holes, I run a 26 B1 modded by Matt. I also have a an 8 hole ProMax that runs very close to the B1.

    Right now I'm running a 30p performer. I'm thinking a 27-or 28p for fishing

When I had my 250proxs with 1.62 on the Stroker the 27 Promax was the clear winner over a Bravo. 29 promax now for the SHO
    2003 Stroker with 2014 SHO
    2012 21RDC Bullet with 2016 SHO

Chris, it's a "window" on the limiter, depending on the load and what the ECU is sensing. Max RPM can be a little higher or lower. If the motor senses it's wildly accelerating, it's going to cut back. IMO, running an Optimax on the limiter is a miss guided decision especially for a 250XS or 250 Sport ( the current name of the 250XS ) The motor is developing peak HP and Torque no higher than that 6000ish range so proping it to run on or near the limiter unlike a 300X EFI which runs peak much closer to the limiter. For a fishing prop, I'd choose something ( A ProMax, Bravo, or Hydro) that runs no higher than 6200

Yeah, X's bleed less power above peak HP/Torque curve and the ECU thinks in a "more liberal" mind set

With my 250XS, A 27" or 29" Bravo, and a 26" or 28" Performer 4 all worked very well. With my new 300XS, the 29" Bravo works much better than the performers for me. So I sold both performers. But I am into fishing and overall performance, and this 29" Bravo is on the limiter around 94-95, and that's enough for me.

IMO, the Performer being and over the hub prop will not carry a fishing load as well as a prop with a barrel like the props I mentioned. The Promax with it's smaller barrel that gives an " over through" hub effect is a very good choice if you like some of the attributes of and over hub prop

agreed. sc over hub being the worst choice for load carrying, then bullet cut, then over/thru and full barrel being the best load carrying prop.
