    HDS-8 Gen 1

This is a screen shot from my HDS-8 Gen 1 connected to my Minn Kota 101 built in transducer. Why no fish arcs?

Sitting still. I did check the transducer setting today and it was on unknown. I changed it to Universal. I will try it in the water later today.

You need to be moveing about 3 mph. to get good arcs.

Change it to Generic 83/200.....like said, you must be moving or the fishing moving in/out of the cone to get archs....otherwise sitting still over fish will be what you see.....also if fish are active under the cone it could show up as lines...

You will start to see some arcs from the trolling motor transducer if you greatly slow down the scroll (chart) speed. This will compensate for the reduced boat speed compared to idle speed with the outboard. You should start to see some arcs, but they won't be the perfect text book ones.
