SHO Engine quit - Wont Start

Was running yesterday at about 30mph and the motor slowly died. It then wouldn't restart and i trolling motor'd it home.

Plenty of 93 octane in the tanks, however, the primer bulb never gets hard when pumping.

    Hoping its a fuel issue.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

Update, ran a 5 gallon gas can to the motor and it fired right up.

What tends to get clogged from the tank to the primer bulb?

I've owned the boat for a year, and haven't done it yet. Motor was rebuilt by previous owner and has about 75hours on it now and the water separator hasn't been done since i've owned it.

But here's the latest update. Once the engine would run, we reconnected everything and attempted to prime from the onboard tanks again. On tank 1, no gas will pump out, on tank two, gas pumps fine. Gas Gauge reads full on both tanks.

Either Tank 1 has a clog in the line, or the gas gauge is broke and the tank is empty.

Regardless, i'm ordering a new water separator, and fuel filter.

Is that the correct part number for a 2010 SHO 250? MAR-FUELF-IL-TR?

You may have a collapsed fuel line or cracked sucking air, from the bad tank. Unlikely but you could also have a bad changer over valve between the tanks.

I had the same issue on my boat and it was the two way gas tank switch. The switch failed and would not allow gas from the tank to the engine.

Access the gas tank switch and swap the gas lines going into each inlet. If the issue remains with the tank selector then I would say it's the switch. If you swap the lines to the tank that is working and the issue carries over then I would start checking lines for blockage or leaks.

I had the same problem with my last boat. I changed bulb's, water separater, fuel lines cleaned O2 sensor finally found out that a relay was bad. I bet that might be your problem
