I have chris carson reeds in there and how much is it to check the reciqs ,I'm on my own now that my mechanic died,so I'll do my best .this problem has been re-ocurring for a while even after the swap of a new short block so wouldn't that eliminate the reeds and reciq's ? just thinking

Testing process is in the manual. If you get in a jam call Stratos Dad he can help you out. Did you move your intakes over to the new block?

So that means you brought any issues you may have had on the intake side with you to your new block.

I responded to your pm . yes we can... the reeds i know well. the recirc's ill have to read up on. With the fiber reeds they don't like to be sneezed, they tend to break. Did you do new reeds when u swapped the blocks or had you had them on the old 1991

Did you set the idle timing at 6 degree's "after" top dead center? Recheck your recirculation hose routing, must be as the manual shows.

have to wait till I get the starter in and then can move foward with the sneeze, talking to Fred the other day and we both kind of agree must be something to do with one of the carbs because it came over from my old motor when she blew. I have new bowls and we will take it from there with mike when we can get together for a while, I couldn't do it without the great guys on BBC that is for sure.
