Having trouble getting on plane with loaded Wells fuel and 2 talons and passenger. Running a tempest plus 27p has 3 plugs with 1/2" holes in them. Would pulling them help?

Pull all the plugs out and try it. I have basically the same boat and I run a 26p trophy plus and it does great on holeshot.

You need to be turning 3700 to 4000. My 201 turns a 26p trophy to 4100 on holeshot. It's a rocket. Best holeshot yet

Without buying a new prop would removing plugs completely help?
It would help tremendously. My Yamaha like to vent. It all depends on your motor. Most Etec motors don't require a lot of venting because they have some serious low end, and some mercury motors are the same way. If you run a new merc with the wingmaster lower unit it will take less venting. What motor do you run?

Running a Yamaha 250 ox66
i ran a 27p tempest plus and I ran all the holes wide open with no plugs. I also run a 250 Yamaha ox66
