    Easy View Tackle System

I am going to instal my easy view tackle system. Can I just screw it in on the underside of the big front center locker? The screws seem short enough to do this.

    Thanks for any help

I would love to do something like this, but cannot get past the drilling into the lids. Maybe some automotive double sided tape?

    BTW looks great.

3 packs of senkos fit in one package, you can have 3x as much hanging there, and the kitechs would have to get consolidated into old senko packs... looks good

Why did you install the left side over the weatherstrip?

Just needs to move the bags over a bit and all is well.

I mounted mine a few years ago using just the adhesive and not the screws and it is still holding strong. I don't ever get in very rough water but I do pull on some rough highways.

If you don't want to drill into the lid, use some 3M 4300/5300 or industrial velcro to attach strips of plastic cutting board and put the screws into that.

This. ^ If you don't think that tape is strong, I installed some easy-view brackets on a previous boat using the 3M tape on pieces of wood firring strip, then screwed into the wood. When I sold the boat and went to remove the wood strips, ended up splintering the wood into pieces before I could pry the tape loose from the underside of the lid. Strong stuff!

I have a complete Easy View set with the stick on tabs, if you don't want to drill, that I am going to be advertising on BBC Miscellaneous today.

    Not a great system.....

Soon after install, the bags overload the lid support and the deck lid won't stay in the open position and must be held open.

Later the Ranger hinge itself fails and the rivets need replaced.

And then the Frito bag clips ( thats where these come from) closure force get weak and won't hold the bags crossing waves or trailering...then the metal clips rust/fail from all the boat's moisture as they are just painted cheap metal and not stainless steel.

If the weight of what I have on there fails the dual support arms on this lid then it has nothing to do with the east view tackle system, Ranger just uses piece of shit parts lol. I have literally all of 1 pound of weight on there

Yea ok.... it actually is a great product, and they give you plenty of mounting options.. yr lids are clearly in need of repair sir.

You can also do yourself a favor and install the bags closer to the front of the lid so the weight does not affect the lid operation.

I had this system in my old boat and liked it but yes, the issues you mentioned happened to me also.

One of the very first things I did to mine when I got it. Put in 4 rows for my "go too" plastics. Love it.

I have a full system in my triton. Works great. I even left one just for chips, jerky, and peanuts. Love it, and so do the kids. They know there is snacks hidin somewhere. Lol. As far as mounting i guess im lucky. Triton has the ribs on bottom of lids. So i screwed into those. But it does come with the plastic clips and zip ties for mounting that would work well for 3m tape.
